I am currently attendin Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood, NY. I am studying biology to become a pediatrician.
Experience
I have been tutoring since the age of 15. I am now 23 years old. I love children and like to make them feel comfortable. I have tutored a number of students of all different grades, ages, and educational backgrounds. I haven't met a child I can't tutor. I usually like to keep the parents and teachers up to date with the students work progress. Of course it will show in their grades though. I try different methods of teaching because every child learns differently. I have taught in a 1 to 1 situation and there have been a couple of times where I would teach a full classroom of children and still get them to do their work. I love children and love teaching them. Helping children is something I enjoy because they are the future of tomorrow and education is the best place to start along with their health. One thing I know that most parents might be concerned about is if the tutor knows anything abiut the new common core. I am currently up to date with the common core and help students succeed better in school along with the comon core.
